African old retail powerhouse, Pep now has a new logo that is totally different from its past emblem.
PEP Store, a 55-year-old enterprise, introduced a new logo that consists of an alternate shade of blue and lineaments a yellow sphere. The company says the yellow sphere is likewise distinguished as the “PEP Tab.”
Chief Executive Officer of PEP Stores, Jaap Hamman, expressed that it is much more than the logo change, it is a striking proclamation of their confidence in the future of PEP and of the country.
“We have been talking to our remarkable customers, looking at our market, improving our positioning of lowest prices and significantly evolving the ways we do things. We are now in a position to confidently communicate the changes PEP has made over many years, in a relevant and contemporary way,” says CEO Hamman.
Tweeps have voiced their perspective on Twitter saying” Why fix it if it ain’t broken?”, Others are curious to know if this means PEP is looking at different business fields or value cuts. With some raising discussions about the store to consider going online.
“If they do go online, it means more costs, the whole fulfilment chain is very expensive. 90% percent of their target market is very lower end, and that market is not ready to shop online. BAYOYIKA,” @olwethu_mtati expressing his opinion in a Tweet.
A PEP spokesperson said propelled by the TAB in the digital world which gives access to more content, the TAB will be used to showcase “the much more” offer at PEP.
