DUT SRC elections postponed
The Durban University of Technology (DUT) just issued at statement stating the Student Representative Council (SRC) elections have been postponed.
“At the meeting of the DUT Electoral Commission for SRC elections held on the 2nd of November 2020, the Electoral Commission decided to further strengthen the security features of the upcoming SRC elections.
Those additional security features resulted in the rescheduling of voting as follows:
System goes live on: 16 November 2020 at 8am
System closes on: 19 November 2020 at 8am
” the statement reads.
The elections were originally scheduled for November 9-11.
EFF Student Command chairman, Buntu Faku, was not aware that the elections have been postponed when Iziko asked for comment.
South African Student Congress (SASCO) acting secretary at DUT, Sbonelo Zwane, said he will comment later.
