Catholic priests suspected of sexual misconduct

Priests of the Marianhill Roman Catholic Church are accused of sexually assaulting young boys at the church.
Two of the young boys who spoke out said that there are many pastors in the church that they prey on the young boys who are studying to be priests and sexually abuse them and threaten to kill them if they tell anyone about it.
One of the men who asked for his name to be concealed for his safety, said that he started getting sexually abused by the priests in 2011 at the St Anna’s church where he was studying to be a priest. He said that he remained silent because he wanted to continue with his studies to become a priest, and the pastor who abused him warned him that he would tell the other pastors at the seminar not to allow him to continue studying if he told people what he did to him. The boy said that his family doesn’t know about this situation, and it has affected him very negatively.
The boy told Ilanga Newspapers that he reported the incident to his church last year through a letter which he revealed every detail of what was happening to other young boys and also mentioned some names of the pastors involved.
Members of the church were shocked at this revelation and urged other members with children who were abused by these priests and pastors to speak out so they can deal with this matter accordingly.
