DA LEADER BOOED OFF THE STAGE

DA leader, Sizwe Mchunu was booed off the stage by ANC supporters at this year’s Freedom Day celebration at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Sunday.
Mchunu was amongst other KZN leaders when he took to the stage to give a speech which the crowed didn’t even give him an opportunity to deliver.
The crowed used soccer gestures of twirling the arms to indicate they wanted a player swapped.
MEC of Health in KZN Sibongiseni Dlomo tried to intervene but his efforts fell on deaf ears.
Dlomo made attempts to calm the crowed with revolutionary songs but they didn’t buy into it.
Mchunu made another attempt to speak but it was impossible as the crowd sang over his voice.
This led to him leaving the stage and grumpily leaving the stadium.
After the disappointed Mchunu left the stadium, the event continued as planned but later Premier Senzo Mchunu reprimanded the crowed and showed his disappointment and the embarrassment he felt.
“We should be respectful and welcoming to other political parties,” Mchunu said.
The event was to celebrate the development and progress of South Africa but the booeing was indicative that some ANC supporters are not ready to welcome and see themselves as equals to other political parties.
