Durban artists block the N3 highway in a march for events

Durban artists have blocked the N3 highway demanding 70% capacity in all events.
Artists demand amendment of lockdown regulations around concerts. Both North and South bound lanes near the Spaghetti junction remain blocked, after artists erected a stage for outdoor performances.
In a social media live broadcast of a gospel singer Dumi Mkokstad shows the police firing at the artists. Furthermore the crowd decided to stage a sit down after the police used teargas. Artists are saying they have no money, they want a quick response from the president to allow them to host entertainment events under level 2. In a #VulaPresident artists say that they have families to feed, school fees, car settlements and bonds of their homes to pay.
Currently under level two lockdown the theatres, concerts and live performances are subject to a limitation of 50 people or less.
