DUT STUDENTS TARGETED ON A FACEBOOK SCAM

Today another scam message was written on the Durban University of Technology’s (DUT) Student Representative Council’s group (SRC), on Facebook.
A man by the name of Lazarih Mthobisi Maphumulo, posted on the group, “You want to start paying for yourself your intuition fee’s, I sharing the business opportunity with students because I know I was there at DUT sleeping on a long line’s for NSFAS, To register http://www.myemailbusiness.co.za/#/204499 For more info whatsapp me 0833911191 start taking control of your life today.”
This student scam has grown dramatically in a few weeks.
Some students fall into this while others can see it is just the scam.
Koontle Ibbe LikaLuthando, said on Facebook that he can join as soon as he understands how this business works.
Ntokozo Bhebhe Mhlongo, a student and a member of the DUT SRC group said, “I have a feeling this is a scam.”
“Why is the English on all these schemes horrible? If you are an institution with money generating ways, I would think that you would pay someone to look at your marketing (your
language and grammar),” said Sakhile Khulekani Gumede, who is also a member of the group.
When you go to the link they have provided, there is no useful information.
