Listeners voted for the candidates that they wanted to win.
Best candidates within categories were chosen through social networks.
The best male presenter award was taken by Siya Seme.
The best news reader award was taken by Zibuyile Ngcobo and the favorite presenter award was given to Nqobani Khumalo.
Malusi Mthembu, the winner of the best writer category said that he is so happy to be part of Inanda FM team because through the radio station he can express his writing skills. He added that he was honored to receive this award though it came as a shock because he started writing long time ago. He
has managed to publish his first book.
According to the Station Manager Thandeka Msani-Ngobese, the awards are believed to encourage employees to excellence performance.
“We have become a home where commercial and public stations come and choose from our presenters, producers and news readers, because of the talent and radio skills brewed within the station,” said Ngobese.
The station is in partnership with Letsoalo Broadcasting Academy where people go and learn various skills such as news reading and presenting.
They also do skills development so they will be brewed for radio.
“If a station is looking for any potential presenters they contact the academy,” said Vusi Letsoalo, of Letsoalo Broadcasting Academy.
