MIXED EMOTIONS AS NEW GENERATIONS HIT THE SCREENS

South Africa’s biggest soapie, Generations came back to the screen on Monday evening.
The soapie went viral on social networks after its first episode as viewers were not satisfied by the outcome.
Sabelo Msomi said, “this is not what we were waiting for. I no longer understand it- I am totally lost.”
Some of the viewers said Skeem Sam, which was playing in the Generations slot for the past two months is a better option.
One of the viewers, Sibongiseni Mthembu, said she had bonded with Skeem Saam and she had picked up the story line.
She said it was not normal for the Generations production to dismiss all its key characters. She added that it is now a new show with a different taste, which she does not understand.
Some viewers have shifted their interest to other shows.
Andile Mfino said, “These days I can’t miss Muvhango. If I miss it I catch up on it the following day. As for this new Generations, time will tell if it’s going to be as interesting as the old one.”
As some viewers are lashing out at the soapie, others are willing to give it a chance.
Warren Tsheola said, “I do not understand the story line yet because its new- let’s watch a few episodes before we jump to conclusion.”
