SATANISM PERSISTING IN SCHOOLS

A 15-year-old girl was found biting a bird’s neck in a grade 10 classroom last Monday.
The teen was sucking out the bird’s blood when students ran to call their class teacher. The learners told their teacher that their classmate said she was craving blood before she jumped to a bird that accidentally came through the window.
“Strange things were happening at this school but this was the scariest,” said grade 10 Maths teacher, Nkululeko Dube.
Dube added that almost half of the school was allegedly possessed by spirits.
The girl called out other learners and said they were in the Satanism gang, two girls and six boys, all under the age of 16.
The gang members told teachers at the school that a woman from Lamontville brought them to Satanism and promised them success and money.
“A big scorpion shaped tattoo was crawling up and down the girl’s thigh as she was talking,” said Dube.
“We had to pray,” he added.
Prayer made the learners crazy, they “spoke in a very strange language”.
A language teacher, Mpumelelo Mzimela said that learners in the same class that this happened began to faint during the praying session.
The school principal Mr Nale organized a parents meeting for the following day.
Both the parents and teachers invited a pastor to come pray every morning.
“We also hold a prayer at 2 pm because the possessed learners said it’s their time of attack,” Nale said.
Nale also added that three days after the incident, a parent came to the school to report that her niece had been found drinking her mother’s blood the night before the funeral.
“The issue of satanic spirits was worldwide,” said Mzimela.
BCom Economics and statistics student, Khetho Cele said that he was also a victim of Satanism.
“People need to understand that you can get these demons from cultural organisations and so called places of religion,” said Cele.
He added that he got it from a church.
“The demons made me crazy and I was admitted at a mental institution for six months.”
Cele lost his bursary and took a year away university to recover. He was helped by a traditional healer to chase out the demons.
“I went back to university and I graduated in April,” he said.
He added that such evil will always persist because Satanism is a religion and the constitution states that everyone is free to any religion of their choice.
