SATMA 10TH TO HOST INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES

The South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMA) will celebrate its 10th anniversary by hosting international delegates at the University of Zululand in Empangeni, KwaZulu-
United States of America president’s grandmother from Ghana will lead delegates.
The Siyabalanda campaign by SATMA awards to the USA, confirmed Mama Sarah Obama-grandmother to President Barack Obama, Ilyasah Shabazz – daughter of Malcom x and Samia
Nkrumah – daughter of President Kwame Nkrumah will be amongst 22 international delegates attending SATMA awards.
SATMA founder Dr Dumsani Goba said, “We are proud that Siyabalanda campaign to USA was a great success.”
Mayor of uMhlathuze Cllr Mdu Mhlongo, said, the City of uMhlathuze is prepared to welcome hosted international delegates.
“This is history to the City of uMhlathuze and we urge people to take part in it and welcome the delegation to our warm city,” said Mhlongo.
SATMA awards will also celebrate their victory as they obtained membership into the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, an organization based in Las Vegas.
Goba said, “SATMA’s have made history and are the first awards in Africa ever to affiliate with the organization.”
SATMA awards will commence with welcoming of hosted international delegates on 29 September followed by red carpet ceremony on the 30th.
SATMA awards main event will take place on the 3rd of October.
