TAEBO OR NOT TAEBO? THAT IS THE QUESTION

Get ready to run, jump, dance and kick on Friday – all in the name of fitness.
A group of young men and women from KwaMashu are simply refusing to let a lack of resources and gym equipment get them down. Instead the group – known as Body Dynamics – will put on their vests, shorts and takkies on
Friday as they host their annual Aerobic Marathon at the KwaMashu Shopping Centre.
The marathon will begin with a 5km fun run, followed by a Zumba, aerobics, stepping and Hi-Lo classes.
The KwaMashu Body Dynamics have been using a worn-out tennis court as their fitness home for the past 11 years. These 152 active fitness fanatics meet up every weekday evening – and now they hope that Friday’s event will get more and more residents of the northern Durban township involved in a fit and healthy lifestyle.
“I am so excited and looking forward to the event. We hope that the parking lot will be packed as it usually is. The community loves our marathons,” said head instructor Siyabonga Mkhize.
If you would like to join in, head to the KwaMashu Shopping Centre parking lot on Friday. The event starts at 8am and will finish at about 2pm.
Our reporters will be there, and want you to join us – in person and online. Follow @JournalismIziko on Twitter and Instagram, and post your pictures using the hashtag #BODYDYNAMICSMARATHON.
