“I am not the one who is in the wrong but the SUV driver and fortunately the taxi had no passengers,” added Dlamini in shock.
On the other hand the driver of the SUV, Denver Torlage, stood by his word that the traffic lights were still orange when he crossed the intersection.
He said, “As I was driving up Market Road I reached the intersection when the robot was still orange. I saw the taxi at the corner of my eye and the robot was still red for him and that is
when we collided.”
Taxi owner said that the taxi driver gave a statement in the morning on scene and he asked him to go back to the police station to give another statement.
