Maud Blose joined her Alma Mater, i.e. the Durban University of Technology in January 2011, as one of the Journalism lecturers within the Media, Language and Communication Department. A Fulbright Scholar, she holds a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Journalism from the Northwestern University in Chicago, USA. During her time at the Medill School of Journalism (Northwestern University), she was awarded the opportunity to be part of CNN International at the Atlanta Headquarters. She thereafter joined the television production world at the eNews Africa Channel in Johannesburg as a producer and desk-writer. She also has a weekly column in Isolezwe called ‘Ezikabhoqo noMaBlose‘. She is currently doing her PhD at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Sphelele Ngubane returns to JournalismIziko after being part of the founding team back in 2012. He is a Chevening scholar who earned his MA in Journalism, Media, and Communications from Cardiff University, one of the prestigious Russell Group Institutions in the United Kingdom. He cut his professional teeth as a print journalist at The Mercury (Independent Media) in 2013 before finding his way into academia.
