Co-Ordinator

Siphumelele Zondi lectures TV journalism at Durban University of Technology (DUT). He is also the co-ordinator of the Journalism Iziko students news website. Zondi is also creator, senior producer and anchor of Network – a technology news programme on SABC News, DSTV 404. He holds a Master of Arts in Media and Cultural Students from Sussex University in England and was a Chevening Scholar. He has been named by the Mail & Guardian as one of the Top 200 Young South Africans.

Sibonginkosi Mabika is a third year journalism student at Durban University of Technology (DUT). His writing works have been published on national news publications such as News 24. Mabika is part of the editing team of the Journalism Iziko students news publication.

Founder

Maud Blose joined her Alma Mater, i.e. the Durban University of Technology in January 2011, as one of the Journalism lecturers within the Media, Language and Communication Department. A Fulbright Scholar, she holds a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Journalism from the Northwestern University in Chicago, USA. During her time at the Medill School of Journalism (Northwestern University), she was awarded the opportunity to be part of CNN International at the Atlanta Headquarters. She thereafter joined the television production world at the eNews Africa Channel in Johannesburg as a producer and desk-writer. She also has a weekly column in Isolezwe called ‘Ezikabhoqo noMaBlose‘. She is currently doing her PhD at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
