80 SA celebrities collaborate on new song to add hope during Covid-19 lockdown
Singer and songwriter Emo Adams came up with the idea and produced the song “Lean On Me” to give people hope during these stressful times of dealing with the pandemic.
Adams stated that we need to keep spreading the love and also instil hope in every SA citizen right now. “It is my vision to get every South African to not only download the song but to unite and remain positive and hopeful because we all need each other during this time,” he added.
The song features SA celebrities such as Rolene Strauss, Nadia Jaftha, Early B, Katlego Maboe etc. Presenter Katlego Maboe stated that he was honoured to have been part of the Lean On Me project lead by the awesome Emo Adams which is a show of how beautiful we can be as a nation.
Cipla South Africa is in partnership with Adams and the celebrities to spread awareness of well- being and mental health. Cipla South Africa CEO Paul Miller mentioned that taking care of one’s mental and psychological well-being during this pandemic is critical.
“This campaign is yet another reminder that even though we’re physically, apart, we’re all in this together and need to support each other as part of caring for life,” he said.
The visuals to the song consist of multiple shots of celebrities in their home singing with placards with messages for SA citizens. The music video is available on the YouTube link https://youtu.be/8Mcrmy0Qw
