DJ Speedsta to open first black owned skate park in South Africa

Well-known Hip-Hop DJ, Speedsta to open the first black owned skate park in South Africa.
The award winning DJ is not only known for his hit songs with other famous local artists, but his love for skate boarding. Speedsta released a documentary on his YouTube channel called Day to Day- Getting The Keys. The 9 minute and 14 seconds long video gives fans a glimpse of the preparation process for the opening of Skate Hub.
“When we come back, things will never ever be the same. Literally on the way to go change the game,” Speedsta said in the start of the documentary.
He continued to mention that he has had the idea for years but had financial obstacles along the way. After many years of putting together the idea, it was this year that Speedsta decided to act upon making the dream a reality.
“I got the keys to the warehouse, the Skate Hub is officially being built,” he said.
“It is coming, September, the first week and we’re launching.” Speedsta confirmed the news.
Skateboarding has always been influenced by fashion, music and the way people talk. It is a culture that created a safe space for the youth since the 1950’s.
