DUT Alumnus, Nkululeko Mbatha is the new face of Oxy

DUT’s pride and joy Nkululeko Mbatha is now the face of OXY
OXY South Africa has been scouting for a male and a female who will be the face of their skin care products. This Ulundi born success-driven young man saw this as an opportunity to make his dreams of being a brand ambassador come true entered.
“I knew that I was going to win because of the support I was given on social media, everyone was sharing the link and voting for me. I am grateful.” He further explained.
The model warned people to respect each other on social media because you will never know when you will need them to help make your dreams come true.
Mbatha who never thought he could be a professional model or work with such a big brand like OXY, says coming to DUT opened a lot of doors for him and helped him to have the courage to start his modelling career.
“I started by entering small pageants competitions and in 2016 I entered Mr and Miss DUT. I won and that was the beginning of things. I became addicted and I wanted to be professional hence I joined boss models in 2018.”
Mbatha was crowned Mr International 2019 SA. The diligent young man says the pandemic has disturbed a lot of things as he was supposed to represent South Africa internationally. Mbatha also said it is very hard to get bookings.
