Meet Brooklyn Masuku, the digital mastermind
In this modern society we exist in, being digital has become a new norm. From blogger, digital content creator, social media manager and anything that makes people tick digitally, Brooklyn Masuku can do it all.
Born and bred in the heart of Umlazi, South of Durban Durban, Masuku also known as “B” has been respected and recognized locally and abroad for his creative contribution to the culture in the media and entertainment industry at just the age of 24.
He has become one of Durban’s most professional and a very talented marketing, social media and content manager, fashion enthusiast, writer, blogger and contributor. The Durban hustler says all the great work he does is nothing but pure passion.
His motivation comes from his beautiful mother and the inspiration comes from the iconic Media Personality, Bonang Matheba whom he had the opportunity to interview. This unlocked the spark in which he was able to carry himself to new heights.
Masuku has worked alongside multiple artists and has created buzz around their brands, while working on their campaigns. This ranges from Cassper Nyovest’s Fill up Moses Mabhida, Nasty C’s Ivyson Tour, Forbes Women Africa, Durban business Fair hosted annually by the Ethekwini Municipality, to Skin oil from Africa. He has also recently been awarded with 031’s “HUSTLER OF THE YEAR AWARD”.
“As a young creative from Umlazi, Durban, I am passionate and consistent in the work that I do. I am extremely proud of how I can continuously manage to create authentic and innovative content to grow any brand that I get an opportunity to work with, it has always been my passion to do such,” Masuku explained
The hustler has equipped himself for his passion as he graduated under the google South African Digital media program which deals with progressing people to have digital media and marketing tools in any respective industry.
He is also the founder and CEO of a successfully growing digital media and entertainment company called “Featured Online” which aims to feature and shine light on the personalities, who are creating change not only for themselves but those around them. The site has 6180 readers overall and 1830 readers monthly.
Pressure is nothing to fear according to Masuku as he currently has a segment called the “The Dish Out” which delivers as he calls it, “uncapped local celebritainment news”. It airs every Saturday on Durban’s number one youth radio station, Durban Youth Radio (DYR). He is also the marketing, social media manager at the famous Shisanyama, Eyadini Lounge.
“My work is always my priority and I excel under any work circumstance, especially under pressure. I am grateful for every opportunity and every brand that has trusted my mindset for their digital sites,” Masuku said.
