REVIEW: THE OTHER WOMAN

By: Michelle Harripersadth
The adulterous comedic script that is The Other Woman is undoubtedly the talk of the town, with a cast list that includes Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and of course the bombshell Kate Upton.
Director Nick Cassavetes, who is known for his less comedic films such as “My sister’s keeper” and “The Notebook”, delves into the world of lying, cheating husbands and the repercussions of angry, pissed off wives and mistresses.
The movie comes into motion when both Kate (who is played by Leslie Mann) and Carly (who is played by Cameron Diaz) are dating and married to the “ultimate player” Mark King.
Kate is the ditsy housewife who’s only concern is redecorating and shopping while Carly is a feisty cut throat lawyer who will pummel anyone who gets on her bad side. The two meet when Carly decides to visit her boyfriend’s suburban home dressed in a raunchy plumber’s costume and on arrival she gets more than she bargained for.
The two decided to team up and help each other overcome the adversity of having their “Man” lie and cheat on them, when they discover a third mistress Amber (who is played by Kate Upton). The bombshell 20 something
leave the girls in total awe after watching her run along the beach in slow motion.
The three ladies become fast friends and talk about ways to get even with their lying, cheating boyfriend/husband. Their pay-back plans to make him suffer include everything from excessive diarrhea and hair removal shampoo to estrogen hormonal capsules.
22-year-old, avid movie goer, Nabilah Hoosen said that, “the movie was extremely funny in the sense that all the funny parts of the movie were quiet dumb however it was refreshing to see women standing up to cheating husbands and boyfriends. I also think that the age restriction should have been 16 and older because the content was very sexual at times and it was definitely of an adult nature”.
If you would like to spend 109 minutes of your time watching angry female rants and sexy actresses get even with their lying, cheating partners than The Other Woman is a must watch.
