The Love He Gets From Clients Made Him Escalate
With no doubts, having a good, healthy, and respectful relationship with clients is what makes every business a success.
Mfundo Sithole is a young man from Georgedale in Hammarsdale who earns his living by baking and selling cakes. Mfundo started doing this job when he was still hired by his mother, who also sells cakes. The love he got from his clients inspired him to turn the business into his own.
“Initially, I was selling cakes for my mother. After the love I received from people, I realised I needed to escalate and develop my business,” said Sithole.
People kept telling him that one day he will own a bakery and that made him not give up and pushed even harder.
Before everything else, Sithole is an actor, musician, and an event organiser. He started his music career in 2007 and has worked with a lot of local artists. Sithole has shared a stage with the likes of OKmalumkoolkat, Zakwe, Witness The Funk, just to name a few. That is how he made money before lockdown.
Sithole is grateful for the support his friends and family has been showing him and his hustle.
“The support I have been getting from friends and family is insane! What is amazing is that I do not even ask for it, they just do it. They get orders for me and promote my business on their social media pages,” he explained.
His eldest sister Sanelisiwe Sithole has also been the greatest help to his business. She helps him bake as he sometimes gets home late and tired.
Despite the challenges Sithole has and still comes across, he still wishes to grow his business even bigger. The love he gets from the streets gives him courage and strength to thrive through it all.
