THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE!

A suspense-filled sequel to the first Hunger Games recently hit local cinemas.
The movie, which is based on a series of novels by Suzanne Collins, stirred excitement among science fiction enthusiasts all over the world. Katniss Everdeen, who is played by Jeniffer Lawrence, is a brave teenage girl who would admirably sacrifice anything for the safety of her family and loved ones. Other members of the cast include Josh Hatcher who plays Peeta Mellark and Liam Hemsworth who plays Gale Hawthorne.
Following their victory in the 74th annual Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta presume that their nightmare is over until old wounds are reopened and they are summoned back for a ‘Victor Tour’. On the tour they realise that the task at hand maybe greater than the previous Hunger Games. During their time visiting other districts, anger and hatred is built up towards the organisers of the Hunger Games. Katniss’ popularity increases among her fans and she is affectionately known as “The Girl on Fire”. Nabilah Hoosen, a movie fanatic described it as having a lot of action and emotions.” It was an edge of the seat kinda movie, “she said. On the other hand, Louren David a student said, “I felt it had so little action and finished leaving you unsatisfied.”
The main themes of the movie are bravery and sacrifice but deceit, betrayal and anger play a huge role in contributing to the immense anticipation over the next movie.
The third instalment is scheduled to be in cinemas during the latter part of this year, so sci-fi enthusiasts should be on the lookout for Hunger Games- Mocking Jay Part 1 and 2.
