CULTURAL CARNIVAL BRINGS DURBAN TO A STANDSTILL

It was colorful along Dr Pixley KaSeme Street as 12 cultural groups from across South Africa paraded to the Durban City hall on Friday afternoon.
The carnival was the official opening of the Indoni Miss Cultural South Africa. Representatives from different tribes danced and showcased their heritage.
Nomkhosi Nzundza who represented the Zulu nation was crowned Miss Cultural South Africa At Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday night.
The runner up was Nolungelo Shongwe from the Swati nation. Kanetani Mathebula from the Tsonga nation went away with the Miss Ubuntu title where as Thobile Chili was voted the face of Indoni 2014.
Zakhele Mchunu who was the Zulu king said, “Its an honor for us to win this tittle. Its not for me and Nomkhosi but its for the Zulus as a whole.”
