DURBAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL BRINGS SOFT VENGEANCE TO THE BIG SCREEN

Some audience were left emotional after watching Abby Ginzberg’s Soft Vengeance at the Durban Film Festival on Monday evening.
The Documentary film is a profile of fomer South African Constitutional Judge Albie Sachs. It showcases his life during the arpatheid era. Soft Vengeance is a combination of file footage and interviews combined together telling the story of Albie Sachs as an anti-arpatheid activists.
According to the producer of the film, Ginzberg it was first screened at the Market Theater. She described Sachs as an inspiration to her. She said she was inspired to persue the story after her visit to South Africa as a tourist. Seeing the new South Africa she felt inspired to tell Sachs’ story for generations to come so that they can see and feel where Souh Africa comes from as well as preach the gospel of forgiveness.
