The KZN Music Imbizo was held at the Kwa Zulu-Natal Music House in a bid to teach and empower upcoming artists, on Saturday.
Music managers, festival organizers and other artists that have made it in the music industry graced the event. The theme of the event was, “music is business to my ears.” Artists learnt a lot about marketing and branding themselves.
Exhibitors who showcased their traditional artwork, beading and other clothing brands in the underground scenery, supported the event.
It was a fun filled day as underground musicians performed their pieces.
Organiser of the Music Imbizo Sphe said the aim of the event was to expose upcoming artists to the industry. He said it was a good platform for them to engage with potential managers and promoters.
He described music as a form of communication.
He said, “Our mission is to see music being taken seriously as a career and we want to pave a plartform for it to grow to grow because it speaks volumes.”
