The Durban University of Technology’s Student Health Services unit launched the Medical Male Circumcision at Ritson Campus on Thursday.
Students came in numbers to also get their blood pressure (BP) checked and be tested for HIV.
The university worked hand-in-hand with the St Aiden’s Hospital, which is where the students were being sent for the circumcision.
Thobile Zulu, manager of the Student Health Services said, “The youth still needs to learn a lot when it comes to preventing HIV and STI’s. We are trying our best to make sure that we engage as much students as we can in this launch today.”
Part of the entertainment for the day included performance from Afro Soul and Joocy.
