Durban Fashion Fair dazzles Durban

Considered the Fashion Week of Durban, the Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) DAZZLED this past weekend at the Durban International Convention Center. Showcasing upcoming and established designers.
Now in its third year of production the Durban fashion Fair showed glitz, glamour and pizazz to the Durban fashion world. Showcasing emerging and established designers including international designer Massimo Crivelli.
The event saw House of Saint Luke, Zarth, Thula Sindi, The Intern by DAVID Tlale and many more showcasing their amazing work on the runway that was not only accompanied by the clothes and models but styling and music choice to emphasize on the entire collection and artistry behind the collection.
DFF was a star studded event with Bonang Matheba better known as “Queen B*” to her many adoring fans, who was the MC for the crowning of the 10 out of the 20 emerging designers that showcased.
Vanessa Pillay, Sibusiso Sefasa, Pinky Dlamini, Daniel Paton, Siyabonga Ntini, Yolandie Wessells, Simon Mosala, Sboniso Zondo, Mzwandile Mathonsi & Ngcebo Mnyandu and Errol Zondi, are the 10 designers that have been selected for a two month long internship in the fashion capital of the world, Milan, for their outstanding creations to help sharpen and enhance their skills.
The likes of Lerato Kganyago, Mininhle “Minie” Dlamini, Shauwn Mpisane and Sophie Ndaba strutting their stuff on the runway for Durban based Designer Zarth, who closed the show and had people on their feet after her collection because of its impeccable craftsmanship and flawlessness.
Thula Sindi, Ayanda Mntambo, Karen Monk-Klijnstra, Palse by Paledi and many more also showcased their outstanding work, each with a different story and journey to tell about their work.
Brenda Quin the first half of fashion label “Friends” said “I think DFF is a beautiful and wonderful event that showcases talent from all over South Africa, but also provides a beautiful platform from Durban based designers.”
She also added “DFF is an event that should have been running for a longer period of time but over the past three years that it has been running, it has shown immense growth and DFF should know happen twice a year, with a Spring/Summer event and an Autumn/Winter event.”
