Wine lovers were treated with amazing eats and flavourful wines and champagnes at this year’s Mercury Wine Week, which took place at the Greyville Convention Centre.
Wine and champagne enthusiasts came in their numbers to network, mingle and treat their taste buds to variety of tasteful, classy and refined wines and champagnes.
“We have Eat Greek that does the amazing catering here. We have the fantastic bubble bar, and you can sort of pimp up your champagne with herbs, blueberries, cranberries, whatever you need. And then we have Gloria Jeans coffee and then of course we have the fabulous wines,” said Event Organiser, Justine Snyman.
Snyman added that all the wine produce that were exhibited are from the Cape.
Wine owners and wine makers showcased their amazing and delectable wines and champagnes produce.
First timer to exhibit, all the way from Cape Town was Magomat Dickson from Louisvale Wines, who was just as excited to be part of such an exhibition of this magnitude.
“We are here at the Mercury Week this year because we are launching our product here in Durban for the first time ever. I hope that this event is going to help me to put my wines in the market here in Durban,” said Dickson.
The Mercury Wine Week will run from Wednesday 30 August until Friday 1st September between 17:30 until 20:00. Pre-booked tickets are selling at R120.00 through iTickets and R140.00 sold at the door.
