It’s time to praise, it’s time to worship, it’s Joyous time! The Durban International Convention Centre is hosting Joyous Celebration’s 20th instalment tonight.
Gospel music lovers will be taken on a spiritual musical experience where the internationally acclaimed gospel sensation will take the stage yet again. Following the success of the Joyous 20 Tour in five provinces, MTN Joyous Celebration (JC) is in the city of eThekwini for two nights of praise and worship.
“This has been a remarkable tour for MTN Joyous Celebration as the brand behind this hugely successful gospel music ensemble, we cannot wait to get to Durban and reward all our loyal customers and MTN Joyous Celebration fans alike through our unique activations,” said MTN Chief Consumer Officer, Larry Annetts.
For two decades, MTN JC has formed an essential part of South African households, captivating hearts of millions of fans with their unique cross-genre infused gospel sounds, signature dance moves, melodic harmonies and show stopping garments.
Sethabile Nxumalo who is a die-hard JC fan said that there is nothing that she has been looking forward to than Joyous Celebration’s performance.
“I can’t wait for Friday. I love Joyous Celebration wholeheartedly and that is why I’ll be attending both on Friday and Saturday. The vibe at their concerts is beyond imagination and it’s definitely not the same as listening to them on my earphones,” said Nxumalo.
The recording of the 20th installment of JC was held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in December 2015.
Lindelani Mkhize, founder of JC said, “As with all our productions, Joyous 20 is all about creating an experience while giving people their money’s worth by consistently providing a world class production. EThekwini will undoubtedly be treated to a spiritually enriched musical weekend.”
In the middle of month, JC announced that they will be recording Joyous Celebration 21 in the United States, Dallas with T.D Jake’s Potters House Choir next year December.
