MEN CHANGE THE FASHION SCENE

One of Durban’s most loved fashion fairs kicked off with a twist by showcasing menswear in all the shows that were held at the Suncoast Casino on Saturday night.
When the curtains opened for music artist, Lekonic- who had the crowed captivated by music from Sarafina, the models walked down the ramp wearing designer clothes. C-squared was
also amongst the fashion houses that were showcasing their designs.
They added a bit of entertainment when hip-hop artist Duncan, performed right before the show.
The support from the Durban based soapy Uzalo was remarkable. Cast members who were in attendance included Mpumelelo Bhulose, Nay Maps, Sihle Ndaba and Bongani Dlamini.
Blogger Lwandile Mkhize, was also in attendance and said, “C-squared was not my favourite brand in menswear since it was so predictable with checked designs, but this year’s collection
was very different from what I expected and I loved their work.”
As the night proceeded and guests were moved to different venues, Paledi the designer of Pulse, was getting ready to blow everyone away with the unexpected.
Khumbulani Sibiya, who is also an actor from Uzalo, was the opening model for Pulse and this got people very excited.
Nduduzo Mgobhozi, a fashion design student said, “Wow, I love what Paledi did with his collection giving us something different.
As a fashion designer using lace for menswear was not logic but seeing how this collection looked, men can rock lace and look good.”
