The anticipation amongst students at Creative Art College is at its optimum level as the college will be hosting a film and video festival this Friday, 18th of September.
The event is organised by 3rd year students and its aim is to raise funds for production costs of equipment that students will need in order to showcase their talent and it will also help them
in preparation for their upcoming Feature Film Festival.
One of the organisers and a student, Khayalethu Mbewu, said that the main reason for the event is for the public to see their outstanding work and also to get the opportunity to be
recognised for their hard work.
“People must come and see the passion that we have for filming and enjoy being entertained by the latest dramas and horrors that will be screened for the first time,” said Mbewu.
He added that they will be expecting a large number of people as they guarantee that people will surely enjoy because they plan to offer many things such as food, beverages, some fun
games and raffles after the screening.
“We are going to serve popcorn and slush puppy drinks, so that people can enjoy the screening while eating and sipping some fizzy drinks,” Mbewu said.
The event is set to commence from 10 am till late.
People who are interested in attending the event must adhere to the requirements that are set for the event.
“Those who would like to attend, the entrance fee is R10 and we request that they bring more money to support our little sale too. The public’s support would be much appreciated and
acknowledged,” said Mbewu.
