SNEAKERS BRING THAT COOL LOOK THIS SUMMER

As bizarre as it may sound, sneakers are really the new trend, depending on the colour and the style that you wear them with of course.
As spring approaches, sneaker lovers have found a way to sneak in as many colourful and modish pairs of sneakers.
Blue, green, red, orange and many other bright coloured sneakers have became a hit with the fashion crazy youth and students in University.
“It depends on how you wear them”, says Londiwe Hadebe, a fashion design student from DUT’s very own fashion campus, Brickfield.
One way to wear your sneakers in this heat, is to wear them with shorts, skirts or dresses. The sneaker you chose to wear has to somehow match the summery-fresh outfit that you chose to wear on that hot summer day.
For example, a female can wear a long flow dress with ankle sneakers or a short spring dress with a high top sneaker or a Chuck Taylor converse.
For men, it’s a little easier because we all know that they own the sneaker trend. They do this by wearing bright coloured shorts with a simple white high top sneaker or a Chuck Taylor, or they rock neutral coloured chinos and bright-coloured ankle sneakers.
“These days, sneakers are a way of life to us students, and a lot of people who are not students are catching up to it as well,” said Fezo Dimba, a student from DUT.
He also added that it’s amazing how versatile sneakers are and how they can bring people from different races together.
Sneakers don’t only look good, but they are comfortable too.
The beautiful thing about sneakers in summer is that there is a wide range of affordable and comfortable sneakers that you yourself can collect and mix-match in any way that will suit you this summer.
