SPRING SENSATION

The Rose Of Sharon Foundation hosted a successful concert whereby all funds raised were contributed to Charity.
The Gospel concert took place on Monday the 23rd of September at the Umhlatuzana Civic Hall and a range of bands and churches attended to show their support.
The hall was filled with over 500 people who all gathered to enjoy a night of exhilarating entertainment and talented performers. The event was open to the public, non-profitable organisations and the youth. Concerts such as these attract mainly young people because of the loud and vibrant atmosphere but this was different.People of all ages were present including pastors and youth leaders from various churches. The community came together to share laughter, good music and amazing company all while giving back to the less fortunate.
Performances included dance items, skits, dramas and even musical talents from well know gospel recording artist J Jo. The talent of young people was showcased brilliantly at this concert with groups such as Grounded for Life, Judah Dance Academy and Revival Ignite Youth all performing on behalf of their respective churches. The host for the evening, MC Kevin T, enticed the audience and kept them entertained with his humour and bubbly personality. Musician, John Ramiah said, “The concert was enjoyable and the musicians were good but the sound quality could have been better.”
The Rose of Sharon Foundation is a voluntary organisation dedicated to giving back to the less privileged by catering to the educational needs of orphaned children. Events like these help the foundation fulfil its social responsibility. Organisers of the event were grateful for the huge response from the community and surrounding churches. Simeon Bradley, a member of one of the churches who attended said, “It was really exciting knowing that young people can get together and worship Jesus for a good cause and I hope there’s many more to come.”
The Rose of Sharon Foundation will host these Spring Concerts every year around the same time with hopes of attracting a larger audience
