Traditional healer encourages everyone to celebrate their heritage
Zandile Mbanjwa, a traditional healer from Durban urged all South Africans to celebrate their traditions and heritage this heritage month.
Whilst the year 2020 has presented many challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mbanjwa still remains enthusiastic about keeping her heritage celebrations alive. She said that it is very important for us as Africans to celebrate our cultural history and where we come from in order to find success in wherever we’re going.
“I encourage mostly the young people to learn more about their culture and traditions because they are our future leaders, and they will be responsible for passing down that knowledge to their children in the future,” said Mbanjwa.
Mbanjwa said that she appreciated what President Cyril Ramaphosa said in his speech last night about the importance of commemorating heritage day and using this time to spend with or families whilst reflecting on what has happened this year.
“As someone who prides herself in my African roots and celebrates my heritage, it brings me joy to see that we have the full support of our government to properly celebrate this special day in the best possible way we can,” she said.
