Actor Vuyo Dabula, who has become a fan-favourite on “Generations: The Legacy”, is leaving the popular television show.
According to News24, a statement released by the Generation’s production team yesterday, confirmed that Dabula is set to exit his role as the villainous Gadaffi.
The statement revealed that Dabula asked to be released from his contract so that he can pursue other projects.
“This is the place where I blew up and I think now is the right time to move on and do other things with the exposure the show has given me. Generations: The Legacy has allowed me to
take my acting craft to newer and better levels and I plan to take that into future characters I will be portraying,” Dabula said.
Generations Executive Producer Mfundi Vundla expressed his support to Dabula on his future endeavours.
“He’s a talented young man, he’ll certainly flourish in all his endeavours,” said Vundla.
Some fans were shaken by the news, Thobeka Mthethwa said, “Generations the Legacy won’t be the same without Gadaffi, we will miss you,” expressed Mthethwa.
Earlier last month, the makeover SABC soapie announced the departure of Denise Zimba and Asanda Foji.
