WHEN GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION

Durban-based musician, Mbongiseni Magagula believes against all odds that his music career will blossom and very soon.
Magagula, whose stage name is ‘Lwandle M” is a recording afro-soul artist under KZN Music House and he’s worked with famously known producers and musicians in the music industry.
His singles, one titled ‘Jabulisa Umoya Wami’ has over 300 views while ‘Indoni Yamanzi’ has over 700 views on YouTube.
“I’m produced by one of the greatest producers around, Nduduzo Makhathini, Mondli Ngcobo and Mbongeni Ngema is the executive producer,” said Magagula.
For every musician, recognition by the masses, getting booked for gigs and events including radio and television air play are things they could possibly ask for. Lwandle M has a similar plea for his music.
“I’m trying my way in the music industry, it’s been not happening. I may be grateful that it’s playing in the radio but I wish there is something better than that, than what is happening right now,” he added.
Against all odds Magagula is still tenacious and has faith in his dream to becoming a great music legend one day.
“By the way, music is life to me. I’m also looking in a way where I can get a platform and exposure, because most people when you talk about Lwandle M, they don’t know who is Lwandle M but they know the music,” said Magagula.
Jokingly he said that his intentions are not at all to be famous in any way but he is working hard to put his music out there and he is doing his utmost best to make that happen.
Magagula is a graduate from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Postgraduate Diploma in Information, Music performance, Ethnomusicology, Outreach and Composition & Library and Information Science.
