AMAZULU GUNNING FOR SWALLOWS

AmaZulu FC coach Steve Barker, anticipates home advantage to change the club’s fortunes when they take on Moroka Swallows in Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday.
Usuthu has collected three points out of a possible six at home since the start of the current National First Division season. Barker believes his side will collect maximum points when they clash with old foes.
Barker said, “If you draw your away games and win the home games you will win the league. I am very happy and confident with our performances even though we have not been scoring but I’m not worried, I am disappointed.”
AmaZulu has gone three games without a win and their first win came at home. This however, does not worry Barker as he believes it’s a long race to the finish line.
“We are still on the right track as we got two draws and didn’t concede. The other match we collected maximum points at home so it’ s only one match that let us down, said Barker.
The former University of Pretoria coach said that he doesn’t believe in changing players week in and week out as much as they do need game time. Barker is happy that Linda Bheki might be available for selection after an injury that has kept him out in the early stages of the season.
“There are different options but I don’t like to chop and change players. I base my judgement on what I see at training.
It was a bit of blow not having Bhengu but he looks promising, as he is 90 percent fit so it will be a big boost for us upfront,” added Barker.
