BUCS BLUDGEON STARS TO CLIMB FIFTH

Orlando Pirates stunned Free States Stars with 2-0 to earn a fifth place in the Absa Premiership League on the match that was played in Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The Buccaneers dominated the whole game but were only able to score goals on the second half.
Stars defenders worked extremely hard from the early minutes of the game until the end of the first half and made sure they are not penetrable.
The shots from the likes of Khethokwakhe Masuku, Lucky Lekgwathi and Helder Pelembe we not successful to change the numbers on the scoreboard as the Starts goalkeeper did a great job in saving them.
Bucs had another chance when the first half was heading towards halftime; referee awarded them a free kick just out the box after Sifiso Myeni was played roughly outside the box. Mpho Makola took it but his effort was blocked by the wall.
In the fisrt ten minutes of the second half, the home team continued with commitment to win the game. In the 48th minute, Thabo Matlaba stunned the visitors, putting his side on the lead.
After the goal, the visitors got a wakeup call and tried to retaliate but Lehlohlonolo Thebakang attempt hit the side net.
Stars started to become disorganised at the back and Pirates took advantage of that weak link as they applied a counter attack tactics and it work for them.Makola scored the second goal for the hosts to seal their win.
As the game was going towards the end, the temperature of the match went up with both teams creating fair chances but failing to convert them.
In the 60th minute, Stars substitute Camaldine Abraw was unlucky when his shot hit the post after he dribbled Lekgwathi and found Senzo Meyiwa not on his line.
The game ended with 2-0 home team taking all the three points and the man of the match was Matlaba.
