Even though Kaizer Chiefs announced an agreement between the club and one of their stars to stay on beyond June 30. It has been explained that the player has to meet certain requirements.
“Siphelele ‘Starsh’ Ntshangase will have to work harder in the upcoming season to boost for sparkling contracts talks at Naturena,” Siya crew reported.
He has not appeared regularly on the field under Coach Ernst Middendorp’s leadership at the club so far. However, Amakhosi exercised the option in his preliminary contract from considering his arrival period until now.
Ntshangase will now have to perform his way for the management negotiation table to be convinced that he is worth keeping beyond the current deal. The deal now ends in June next year.
Middendorp publicly criticized him for his average contribution, leading to hints that the coach had little possibilities to keep Ntshangase for another 12 months.
His agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane, told the Siya crew that announced decision did not surprise Ntshangase. The player will continue as a Chiefs player for one more year that.
“I have always said that ‘Stash’ is one of the best midfielders Kaizer Chiefs signed,” explained Mahlakgane.
“He is the kind of player that is going to chicken out from a challenge because he has not played for a year,” he said. Mahlakgane said they understand the club statistics, however that does not flush away chances of him to rise and become a maestro at Chiefs.
