CITIZEN SUFFERED DEFEAT

Dumbars FC beat Citizen FC 2-1 in the ward 32 Local Football Association League at Albert Park Sports Ground on Sunday.
Dumbars FC came out firing on all cylinders in the first few minutes of the game as they were looking to take the early lead.
However Citizen FC had the first attempt at goal with a short from outside the box by Lwazi Nqoko but saw his short go over the cross bar.
Dumbars FC winger made a great run from the centre and nearly booked his name on the score sheet but his shot was blocked.
Citizen FC Skipper Sibusiso Shamase scored from the corner spot to give his side vital lead going through the half time break.
Dumbars FC begin the second half strong and were pushing everything forward as they were looking for an equaliser.
Senzo “Jempa” Vilakazi gave Dumbars the equalizerin the 56th minutes after tap in from a cross that came from the right flank.
As the game was edging closer to the finish both sides were creating chances but couldn’t convert.
Dumbars FC were awarded a penalty in the 65th minutes in the game after Citizen FC defender handle the ball in the box, and Siyabonga “Sbhamu” Nzuza gave Dumbars a lead.
The win now sees Dumbars Fc skewing away from the relegation zone and Citizen still in the bottom of the league.
Other games on the day saw Albert Park loses 2-1 from Storo FC and Broad United Fc sharing spoils with Legends FC after a one all draw.
