DE SA BLAMES IT ON POOR FINISHING

Orlando Pirates coach, Roger De Sa, believes that his boys could have done better in the CAF Champions League encounter against AC Leopards, had it not been for blunders in front of the goal mouth.
He said after Leopards held Bucs to a disappointing stalemate at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The Buccaneers created numerous scoring opportunities but failed to convert them. The Mozambique born technician still believes his team was competitive enough comparing the situation with a “boxing match”.
“If it was a boxing match I think we would have won in on points but it wasn’t,” said De Sa after the game.
Asked about the overall game, he expressed pleasure at the performance although he was not fully satisfied, especially in the second half of the game. “We got into it and had some really good chances and at this level you got to put those away… at this level wasn’t entirely unhappy but we have to do better and take our chances.”
Coming from an off season holidays to their first competitive match, De Sa believes the boys are a bit dusty and not at their best shape. “The guys are a bit rusty and they are not 100 percent but they were still competitive out there and will get there.”
Bucs on their following fixture will take on defending and six times champions Al Ahly on the fourth of August in Cairo at the Air Defense Force Stadium.
