EURO SOCCER SCHOOL IN GLENWOOD

Euro Soccer Schools (ESS) opened a branch in Glenwood catering for children between the ages of five to fourteen years.
The schools are licenced by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), and are originally a Pre-school Soccer training
programme allocated in Florida.

The ESS Head Coach Joshua Gaillard said that their aim is to just train student who are interested in soccer as they are affiliated with South Africa Football Association (SAFA).
“We have five branches here in KZN, we take any child and we individualise our training to get the best of everybody,” said Gaillard.
According to Gaillard, children learn respect, honesty and courage and also develop good morals as sportsmen.
Parents flocked at Stella Sports Ground to watch their children learning to play soccer.
One of the parent, Nokukhanya Ngcoya said that she is very happy that her child goes to training every weekend instead of going to his friends.
“My child is now a better a child and it hasn’t been even two weeks but I can see that he is changed in a good way and as a parent, I’m there to support him,” said Ngcoya.
Children from Glenwood and other areas have registered with the school and they train every Saturdays.
Banele Makhanya (13) said, “I am now a better player and my coach is helping us with learning how to play soccer, I’m enjoying it.”
Gaillard said that the schools are a platform to create a complete and superior soccer players and strong willed people who can make their own decisions.
