Knights cricket team training adheres to strict safety protocols
The VKB knights cricket team’s training sessions will adhere to strict safety protocols. This follows after two unidentified players tested positive for COVID-19 and are in quarantine.
While the rest of the group has to follow strict regulations, only four players will be present at any given training session. Only two players in the indoor nets and two in the outfield.
Jacques Faul, who is an acting Chief Executive Officer of Cricket South Africa, previously divulged that seven individuals had tested positive during a first round. They ran 100 tests with the organisation that included the support staff and the players.
This comes as bad news for the Cricket South Africa after it came out that CSA had been faulted by Minister of Sports Nathi Mthethwa during his parliamentary briefing over the assignment of three white men Jacque Faul, director of cricket Graeme Smith and national team head coach Mark Boucher to the key position.
