Upfront the former Polokwane City and Royal Eagles forward will be competing with experienced goal sniffers, Siyabonga Nomvethe and Mabhuti Khenyeza – an idea the Ntuzuma-born men has welcomed.
“I didn’t think that one day I’d play with the likes of Bhele and Mabhuti and to me that’s exciting. I believe they can push everyone else with their experience,” said Nzimande.
“It’s also good that we’re sort of at the same age group with the other players and many of them listen and respect one another,” added Nzimande.
Nzimande has trained with the squad for three days after arriving towards the end of last week which saw get the nod from Head Coach Joey Antipas after a friendly match.
Usuthu Supporters Coordinator and Head of Safety, Qedi Dlamini announced during the club’s supporters meeting on 21 August 2016 that entrance to the first five home matches will be free at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
“We’ve arrived to the decision that access should be free for the opening fixtures and we invite our fans to come and rally behind the team,” said Dlamini.
“We will obviously be pleased to see them singing and cheering the team on from a club’s point of view, but we want to encourage cooperation also across the board no matter how big the pressure is during matches.”
All attention this week in the Usuthu camp is fixed on preparations for Sunday’s league opening fixture against Black Leopards at Princess Magogo, kick-off at 15:00pm.
The Usuthu faithful will be grinning with anticipation as the prospect of witnessing what this season’s new signings have to offer builds on.
