SANDO, KILLERS SHARE SPOILS

By: Ndumiso Nxumalo
Fight Killers striker Sanele Nxasane scored a hat-trick when they shared points against Sando FC at Curries Fountain Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The home team Sando FC took an early lead when Sandile “Sgebengu” Buthelezi scored from the set-piece. A misunderstanding between the home team defences saw Nxasane finding an equaliser in the 21st minutes.
Few minutes before half time, Nxasane completed his brace when Sando’s shot stopper failed to clear the ball following a back pass from his defender.
The home team came back from the first half as a house on fire as it took them just 2 minutes to match the score board after Muzi “Rasta” Duze dribbled the kipper to make it 2-2.
The away team coach was furious towards the referee who gave Thalente Masondo red a card after a “rough tackle”. Sando FC took a lead again when a long throw was netted in the 75 minutes.
As the game unfolded, the 10 men gave their all in the pitch and it paid well when Nxasane grabbed his hat-trick in the injury time to make it 3-all.
Nxasane was not pleased with some of the referee’s decisions in the game. “This was our game and we would have won it if it wasn’t for this mediocre referee who failed to control the game,” said Nxasane
Fight Killers are sitting comfortably in the Second Division League Durban Central Stream table with two games left before the playoff for the SAB spot. The Killers’ next encounter is against Friends Boy on Wednesday 3rd August 2015.
