SEABOARD 2 PICKED UP A CRUCIAL WIN

Seaboard 2 beat Berea Res by 2-1 in their Durban University of Technology Residences League first leg encounter at the Sport Centre sport Ground on Sunday.
Berea Res started this match on a high gear, attacking from right to left and dominated the first 10 minutes of the game with Seaboard hardly creating any chances. Berea game momentum dropped after failed to convert their chances.
Seaboard played great football and it paid off they open they took an early lead inside 35th minutes.
Berea continued to attack but couldn’t find ways to equalise.
Just before half time, Berea were awarded a free kick outside the edge of the box and was headed home by Thulani “Striker” Khanyile, first half ended up on a one all tie.
The second half was the most entertaining half with both teams looking to find a winning goal.
The game was getting more physical and more fouls were committed by both teams.
Chances after chances were created, until Seaboard managed to break a deadlock and took a lead.
The shaky defense of Berea Res nearly rewarded Seaboard with the third goal, but Seaboard strikers failed to take advantage.
Berea tried to break through Seaboard defense but they couldn’t find the equalizer and the match ended with Seaboard leading the first leg.
Berea will be hoping to bounce back when the two teams meet in the second on 8 August 2015 at Steve Biko Sport Center Ground.
