SUNFOIL DOLPHINS MAKES THREE CRUCIAL CHANGES FOR KNIGHTS CLASH

By: Lucky Khanyile
Sunfoil Dolphins has brought in three players ahead of their vital clash against VKB Knights in the Ram Slam T20 as they look to change their fortunes on Saturday.
The Dolphins look to replicate their winning form of the first four games of the season when they travel to St. Georges Park, Port Elizabeth.
The KwaZulu-Natal based-franchise lost three key players. Kevin Pietersen parted ways with the club to join Melbourne Stars in Australia, which has exposed their batting
lineup.
The call up of the right-arm fast-medium bowler, Kyle Abbot to the Proteas left a huge dent. Prenelan Subrayen added to Lance Klusener’s woes as he was banned from
bowling.
“We lost three players who were very important to us in the first four games, and it’s about learning to win without them and with a different combination.
Maybe we haven’t found that as yet, but we’ll make a few changes and see how we do,” said coach Lance Klusener.
The departure of these three, see Jonathan Vandiar called into the top order, Rabian Engelbrecht called up in the pace attack and left-arm spinner Kyle Nipper also called to
the rescue.
Vandiar’s inclusion is expected to help with the batting as it has been below par since the departure of Pietersen for the Ram Slam T20 2013/14 champions.
“The thing for me is about getting some fresh faces and new energy into the squad.
“We need to be sharper in the field and generally more hungry and determined that not only will we qualify but we’ll get a home semi-final as well,” said Klusener.
Sunfoil Dolphins squad: Morne van Wyk (captain), Dwayne Bravo, Cameron Delport, Rabian Engelbrecht, Keshav Maharaj, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Ayavuya Myoli,
Kyle Nipper, Andile Phehlukwayo, Vaughn van Jaarsveld, Jonathan Vandiar, Khaya Zondo.
