Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite came up trumps, bagging three awards, at the 2014/2015 Premier Soccer League Awards held at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg on Sunday.
The Amakhosi defender walked away with R450 000 in prize money for being named the 2014/15 Footballer of the season, Absa Premiership Players’ Player of the season and the Absa Premiership Defender of the season.
Sports analyst Bongani Yengwa said Mashamaite deserved all his awards due to his performances throughout the season.
“There is no doubt that he played a vital part in making sure that Amakhosi retained the Absa Premiership title and with him playing all the games it makes him stand out as the best,” said Yengwa.
