THANDA VS SPURS MATCH ABANDONED

The National First Division fixture between Thanda Royal Zulu and Witbank Spurs at Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay was abandoned on Sunday, 18 September.
The referee abandoned the match due to a waterlogged field and therefore deemed the pitch unsafe and unplayable.
Amabhubesi Captain Innocent Maela said they were really looking forward to the game to boost their game.
“We prepared the whole week for the game but unfortunately the conditions we beyond our action, but even so the team spirit is still high in the camp,” said Maela.
Meanwhile it rained goals at King Zwelithini between Royal Eagles Cape Town All Stars as the match produced a thrilling 8 goals.
Royal Eagles won the match 6-2 beating the Cape Town boys to claim their first win of the season. Eagles took a 2-1 lead into the break, thanks to a brace by Raymond Monama, while Mlu Mbunjana scored for Igugu Lekapa.
Philani Cele, Siyanda Ngubo (2) and Phumelele Bhengu all added to Stars’ misery in the second half, with the visiting side getting on the score sheet through Sibusiso Hlubi’s penalty.
On the other hand, Mthatha Bucks play out to a 2-2 draw against AmaZulu: The Royal Eagles smashed the All Stars 6-2 after taking a 2-1 lead into the break, thanks to a brace from Raymond Monama.
Mthatha Bucks made a blistering start in front of a full house, Mashale Rantabane smashing home Ayanda Klaas’s cross and Khotso Mokhele also scoring by the time 20 minutes had been played.
But Usuthu hit back with second-half goals from substitutes Spheshile Nzimande and Nkanyiso Zungu to earn a point.
