Hamilton Ndlovu’s Assets seized by SIU
Renowned businessman, Thabiso Hamilton Ndlovu’s assets amounting to R42 Million have been seized by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) due to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) tender he received last year from the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS).
The SIU and NHLS were granted a greenlight to freeze the young businessman’s assets worth of luxury properties. This was done after an investigation conducted by the SIU of corruption allegations, in which eight companies directly and indirectly linked to Ndlovu obtained a PPE tender worth R172 Million.
According to SIU spokesperson, Kaizer Kganyago, Ndlovu and the other businesses implicated in the case, will have to pay back monies paid to their business’, meaning that they are prohibited from using the funds and properties until the final resolution of the case.
“The properties and money are preserved pending the a review application which will be brought by the SIU and the NHLS to set aside the procurement transactions and to require Ndlovu and the other recipients of the funds to pay back the money which means that they are prohibited from using the funds and properties pending the final resolution of the review proceedings to be brought by the SIU and the NHLS,” said Kganyago.
