Prophet Bushiri loses first round of legal battle with Prophet Mboro
Prophet Bushiri has lost the first round of his legal battle against Prophet Paseka Motsoeneng known as Prophet Mboro, on technical ground as the Gauteng High Court found the matter was not urgent.
The court found that Bushiri’s application was not urgent and that issuing an order as requested would also assume findings on defamation claims, which it could not do.
Bushiri applied for defamation to Mboro from badmouthing him on social media and in public.
According to Pretoria News, Mboro is not blocked at this stage to speak out against Bushiri, the letter is planning on continuing with his legal quest at a later stage, in which he will ask the court to declare the statements made by Mboro to be defamatory.
If he succeeded with that application, he demands a public apology from them as well as R1-million damages.
People on social media commented on their case.
@Siphiwe Zwane “These men should be arrested for pretending to be pastors to make money of poor people…this is not God’s work… so much scandal, drama, and courts”.
@sarel_lee that one #Bushiri is a scam & a complete fraudster who uses religion to swindle people of their money. Also, that one of Mboro is a scam and a fraudster using the same modus operandi. This is a battle of fraudsters lwabish both of them.
Advocate Dali Mpofu, who appeared on behalf of Bushiri said the matter is finally vented in court some time later when their application for damages and to have the utterance declared defamatory is disposed of Bushiri’s name is tainted if Mboro is not blocked.
