Sophie Ndaba’s son speaks on the exposé track about his stepfather

South African actors Sophie and Themba Ndaba’s son, Lwandle recently released a track exposing his stepfather Max
Lichaba, as an abuser.
In the track titled “My stepfather’s a Devil”, Lwandle speaks about how his stepfather abused his mother physically, emotionally and financially leading to his mothers ailing health.
The 22 year old Lwandle, also wrote a letter which elaborates further the kinds of abuse Sophie Ndaba suffered in Lichaba’ s hands. In the letter, he explains why he had to expose his stepfather.
“As a child witnessing the painful past few years, I have found a way to channel my pain and frustration after watching my mother’s health and finances go on a downward spiral due to the actions of her significant other, my stepfather Mr. Max Lichaba. I saw the journey that my mother went through and I am expressing my feelings through music performance. I was hurt and traumatized,” explained Lwandle.
Lwandle continued to say that the hardest thing about watching these events unfold is that he was unable to help his mother as he respected her decisions and kept quiet about the abuse.
“I am no longer able to be a silent bystander due to the threats received by myself and my family despite keeping the peace.”
Ndaba said that in a country where gender based violence is a plague, he did not wish for his mother to become a statistic at the hands of his stepfather any longer.
